Since we have not met in almost a month due to weather, here are some announcements from President Cindy:

  • We are offering our members a "Business Spotlight" opportunity on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month to give a 3-5 minute introduction to their profession/business. A sign up sheet will be at the check-in table on 2/2.
  • Our next TAVERN NIGHT is on Thursday, February 26 at TREVA Restaurant, 980 Farmington Ave., W.H. (Treva is donating food to our auction).
  • HANOC-Children's Museum Event will be on March 2 from 5-7 pm.  Christine Looby is chairing this and Roshan Patel is our co-chair. Please save the date... A sign up will be passed out at upcoming meetings.
  • VINES restaurants are finalized.  We need some live (large) auction items, and some smaller (silent) auction items.  Donna will be asking everyone to help by selling tickets and encouraging friends, family and colleagues to support this major Fun-D-raiser.  Kara Sundlun and Dennis House will be our live auctioneers... Please be sure to get your tickets!
  • FOODSHARE van is at the Universalist Church, Fern Street on Monday Feb.16.  The February community dinner is on Friday, Feb. 20; our club is donating two $25 grocery store gift cards to their raffle. A list of volunteer opportunities will be available soon if you want to participate.
  • We raised over $500 at our Ugly Sweater/White Elephant/Potluck Dinner party on January 10.  Kyle was our entertaining auctioneer; Mary Silverberg was "Vanna White", and Mark Tamaccio won the trophy.  He will give his acceptance speech at our next meeting.  Many thanks to Susan Chandler for organizing a fun and memorable evening.  Thanks to everyone who came and bought some white elephants!
  • Christine Looby is helping to organize the meeting invocations as Kove is in Florida for the winter.  Please see her to get on the list!
