WH Rotary Presents Check to "Gifts of Music"

On Saturday October 25, 2014, prior president Hap Leabman presented a $2,500 check to Haig Shahverdian for “Gifts of Music”.   The funds were raised at the club's annual Jazz Brunch event.

Gifts of Music joins the resources of West Hartford Public Schools, the Community Division of the Hartt School of Music, private donors, and Hartford Foundation for Public Giving; partners qualified students with professional musicians from the Community Division of Hartt School for weekly instrumental lessons; collects and recycles used instruments; supports supervised after-school practice sessions for an additional population of students. 

The check presentation was made at the annual Gifts if Music Benefit Concert, which was attended by over 200 Gift of Music friends and supporters.
