Eileen and Bob Rau
are Honored

They are the Epitome of "Service Above Self"

District 7890 had its "Foundation Brunch" on Sunday November 5th. The highlight of the event was the recognition of our very own Eileen and Bob Rau for their induction in to the Arch Klumph Society. In her remarks, Eileen referred to Robert Dunn, a former West Hartford Rotarian and longtime educator in town. She felt that the Dunn Scholarship was a wonderful way to help the world and be remembered. Similarly, Eileen and Bob will fund the Eileen and Robert Rau Endowed Fund. Earnings are directed to the Annual Fund- Share that funds District and Global grants.

Also at the brunch, the Club received a banner for being the #2 Club in the District in per capita annual giving to the Foundation, a certificate for our contributions to end polio, and a citation which will be presented soon.

What is amazing about the brunch is the number of local programs funded by district grants and international programs, all generated by our clubs in District 7890.

We DO make a difference.
