Noah Webster House and Rotary Club of West Hartford Announce New Sponsorship
to Support Family Programming

The Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society is honored to receive a generous sponsorship donation of $1,500 from the Rotary Club of West Hartford to support new family programming at the Noah Webster House.

On Thursday, October 26, 2023, Rotary Club President Dr. Rick Liftig presented Jeffrey Mainville, Executive Director of the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society, with a $1,500 sponsorship donation to support the Noah Webster House’s Life on the Webster Farm: Work Days monthly series.

Upon this presentation, Dr. Liftig stated, “The Rotary Club of West Hartford is happy to sponsor this program supporting West Hartford children and families.” This support, which helps promote both institutions’ missions to support the community of West Hartford, goes beyond the Work Day program.

This December, the Noah Webster House will assist the Rotary Club of West Hartford with presenting all West Hartford Public School third graders with their very own Merriam-Webster Dictionary, all of which were generously purchased by the Rotary Club of West Hartford. Both institutions are proud to provide quality educational tools and programming to West Hartford families.
“We are most grateful to the Rotary Club of West Hartford for their generous support of the Life on the Webster Farm series in 2024,” explains Executive Director Jeffrey Mainville.  “These family-friendly activities offer parents & children a unique opportunity to learn together, and explore something fun that doesn’t require a computer screen. Our hope was to offer free admission to children 12-and-under for these programs, and thanks to our friends at the Rotary Club, we are now able to do so.”

November’s Work Day is part of the Noah Webster House’s series of Thanksgiving Weekend activities. The museum will be open to visitors Friday - Sunday, November 24, 25, and 26, from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. For more information, visit the museum’s website at www.noahwebsterhouse.org or check out their Facebook page, @noahwebsterhouse.
Participation in the Life on the Webster Farm: Work Days activities is included with purchase of regular adult admission to the historic house.  Children under 12 years of age are free.
