Our Latest Paul Harris Fellows

Congratulations Bennett and Mary!

Rotary established the Paul Harris Fellow recognition in 1957 to encourage and show appreciation for substantial contributions to what was then the Foundation’s only program, Rotary Foundation Fellowships for Advanced Study, the precursor to Ambassadorial Scholarships. And it was geared toward recognizing financial contributions to the Foundation.

But there are many other ways to contribute to the Club and Community. Mary Silverberg has organized and recruited our speakers for many years now. She is a long time member of the Town's Commission on Disabilities and an Officer on the Board of the National Federation for the Blind. Mary exemplifies the Rotary ideal of "Service Above Self."

Bennett Forrest is a past West Hartford Rotary President (2019), originated and ran two Rock 'n Rotary Events and has been instrumental in promoting the Children's Reading Partners Book Drive in Town. Bennett exemplifies the Rotary ideal of "Service Above Self."

Thank you both for your service and your contributions to the Community and the Club!
