The club met at Pond House Cafe at 12:15 on Monday the 21st after two weeks off.  Thirty three Rotarians and guests met for a busy meeting which featured guest speaker Iran Nazario and his powerful talk about his Peacebuilders initiative.
 
Bruce Stanger led with the invocation.

Hap Leabman discussed the upcoming Jazz Brunch
 
Fernando Vidal discussed the Liberty Bank food drive.  Liberty bank will match 25 cents for every dollar contributed up to $4K.  The Board voted to donate $1K, and Happy Dollars will go towards the food drive until Thanksgiving.
 
Bennett Forrest is leading the annual book drive, from 30 Sept - 26 October.  New and gently used books for K-4th grade are being accepted now.
 
The Annual Foundation Dinner is being held on 5 November in Agawam.  The club intends to purchase at least one table.  There is a link on the club website.
 
33 Rotarians and guests are present.  Guests include guest speaker Iran,  State Senator Beth Bye,  Deb Gearty, and Rotarian Ken Sledowski from the Simsbury club.
 
Guest speaker Iran Nazario spoke about his COMPASS Peacebuilders initiative and how he is working to serve the community and provide services for youth who are disconnected and in crisis.
